- No other defects permitted
QUALITY CLASS B
Birch – finger jointed glulam board B
- Whole knot – permitted without limit
- Black knot up to 10 mm – permitted
- Single random drywall patches – permitted
- Single random red heartwood streaks – permitted
QUALITY CLASS C
Birch – finger jointed glulam board C
- Whole knot – permitted without limit
- Black knot up to 20 mm – permitted
- Drywall – permitted
- Single random fissures with drywall cover – permitted
- Heartwood – permitted without limit
PINE
QUALITY CLASS A
Pine – knotty, finger-jointed or full stave_A
- Fresh knots up to 30 mm – allowed
- Black small knots up to 3 mm – allowed
- Resin pockets not allowed
- Pith and blue stain not allowed
QUALITY CLASS B
Pine – knotty, finger-jointed or full stave_B
- Fresh knots – allowed without limititations
- Black knots up to 20 mm – allowed
- Repairs with putty – allowed
- Occasional pith stripes – allowed
- Shakes and blue stain are not allowed
QUALITY CLASS C
Pine – knotted finger jointed glulam with full lamination_C
- Whole knot – permitted without limit
- Whole knot up to 35 mm – permitted
- Repairs – permitted without limit
- Heartwood streaks and resin pockets – permitted (covered with drywall if necessary)
- Slight blue stain – permitted (on agreement with client)
